Community Service

All SFX students are required to reach out to the Sumter community, their church community, and our school community through the Service Hour Program.  Students are urged to keep in mind that working together as a school community builds our school family and they should make every effort to participate in school sponsored service projects.  Their hours will need to be approved and documented through the advisor's.  Below are the required hours needed per class:

Freshman Service Program          15 hours

Sophomore Service Program        20 hours

Junior Service Program               30 hours

Senior Service Program               30 hours

There are many opportunities here in Sumter where we can do God’s will.  Monthly, we have a shortened academic day and send our student out to various community organizations as a class (National Healthcare, Pregnancy Advocacy Center, St. Anne School, St.Anne Church, and United Ministries). In addition, we host fundraisers and various drives throughout the school year. We also encourage participation in Walks and fundraisers for other charitable organizations. Our goal is to assist your student in realizing one person can make a difference.  Please encourage your student to get involved.
