St. Francis Xavier HS currently offers two semester long classes that fulfill the Fine Arts requirement for the SC Commission on Higher Education.

Theatre Arts is offered in the fall.  The students learn the history, the craft, and the mediums used in drama.  They prepare and participate in one-act plays.  This course also gives the students the confidence to perform before an audience.

Creative Oral Expressions is offered in the spring semester.  This course covers the history and importance of oral traditions in many cultures and religions.  The art of story-telling is explored and practiced.  The class culminates with the final project in which each student records some part of their family history as a family story.
